Shubhangi Tewari Singer

Shubhangi is a singer, vocal coach and voice restorer based in Mumbai, India.

 

Background :

​

She holds a Diploma in Higher Education (ATCL) in Popular Vocal Music Performance from Tech Music Schools,University of West London; Hindustani Classical Vocal music diploma from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad; Piano certification from ABRSM, London & a Post-grad degree in Political Science from DU.

 

Shubhangi is the vocalist, lyricist & co-composer for the Electronic/Experimental music project “Stereo Buddha” and also performs as a solo artist.

 

Her compositions in Sanskrit have been featured in the program “Vaartavali’ on DD News & DD National channel.

 

Shubhangi has been a consultant master trainer for the British Council World Voice Project for 3 years where she has worked with over 1400 government school teachers’ and thousands of school children, in an attempt to introduce traditional songs from around the world into the classroom, with the view of using them as pedagogical tools to improve language skills, soft skills, inclusiveness and creativity.

 

In her capacity as a World Voice Master Trainer, she has been invited to the UK twice, to work with British School Children and various British Music organisations and schools in the cities of Stockport, Manchester, Hull, Morecambe, Lancaster and Preston.

 

Shubhangi is a sought after vocal coach, and works with many upcoming and established artists. Over the years, she has trained the Gargi College, Delhi University Choir for 3 academic sessions and also worked with & conducted the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Choir in the summer of 2017.

She has taught at various schools of music in Delhi - NCR including Marwah School of Performing Arts, Bridge Music Academy, Bluebells International School, & is has been invited to judge various music & singing competitions.

 

Shubhangi has presented at the Symposium on Voice Disorders, 2016 at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. Since then, she regularly works with voice reliant professionals to help use their voices in the most healthy and optimal manner.  

 

As a session artist, you can hear her voice in the song “Catch Me If You Can” in the Bollywood film “Xpose” (released May 16, 2014) & in the web series "Kaisi Ye Yaariyaan", released on Voot.

 

She has sung jingles for brands like Coca Cola, Kamdhenu, Banish Shoes, Springfit Mattresses, Terumo, Savior, Tacfab, Nun, Amity, Bonito’s to name a few.

 

She has performed, both as a singer & bassist, in the UK, Russia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, various venues in India & has been associated with acts like “Enochian” (progressive metal band from Delhi), Artists Unlimited, The Delhi Chamber Choir, Western Music Society of Lady Shri Ram College and the Tech Music Schools, London choir.
